What We Believe:  Essential Doctrines of the Christian Faith

We believe in one God, creator of all things, perfect in love and holiness who exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 5:7)
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and entered human form by the miracle of virgin birth, that He lived a sinless life, and that He died for our sins. We believe that He rose again on the third day and now sits at the right hand of God as our advocate (Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1 & 14, 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3-7; Hebrews 1:3; 1 John 2:1)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. We believe that he brings about the new birth, indwells, baptizes, seals, anoints, and endows all who are regenerated with spiritual gifts. The Holy Spirit also leads believers who daily surrender their life to Him by guiding, teaching, sanctifying, and filling them (John 15:26, 16:8, 2:3-6,14:16-17, 14:26).

We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and is the sole authority for all Christian faith and life. We believe that God has preserved His Word and that by His power it has been kept from being lost, destroyed, or diluted with error (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:89; 1 Peter 1:23,25).

We believe that all people are created in the image of God. At the same time, because of Adam's sin, all people are sinful by nature and choice. Apart from forgiveness in Jesus Christ, all are lost and alienated from God (Genesis 1:27, 3:1-6; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3).

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. His death is the only payment for our sins that God will accept. All who truly believe in Christ are born again and become the children of God (John 1:12; Ephesians 2:8-9). We believe that all who are genuinely saved will be held secure by the power of God and presented faultless before God on judgment day (John 10:28-29; 1 Peter 1:5).

We believe in the resurrection of the body. At death the spirits of the saved go immediately to be with the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven and the unsaved immediately into hell until the final day of judgement. At that time, their bodies shall be raised from the grave: the saved will return to be in heaven with Christ, the lost will be judged and returned to hell (Luke 16:19-31, 23:43; Revelation 20:11-15).

We believe that the Church consists of all who believe in Jesus Christ as Savior. The local church exists to exalt Christ, encourage believers, and evangelize the world.

Distinctive Doctrines of Victory Christian Fellowship

We believe in the victorious, overcoming Christian life. (Romans 8:31-32; 1 John 5:4)  We believe that through faith in God and His Word, Jesus enables the believer to experience “life, and life more abundantly.” (John 10:10) and that God “gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” and “always causes us to triumph in Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:57 – 58; 2 Corinthians 2:14). However, even though God has “given us all things that pertain to life and godliness” and made us “partakers of the Divine nature”, God says that His people “perish for lack of knowledge” – lack of knowledge of who God is, who they are in Christ, lack of knowledge of the Word of God, the voice of the Holy Spirit, faith, prayer, etc. (2 Peter 1:3-4; Hosea 4:6)
We believe in the priesthood of all believers, and that every born-again person has direct access to God and has the responsibility for personal growth in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ (1Timothy 2:5; 1 Peter 2:2, 5, 9; 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17).

We believe the Holy Spirit gives to every true believer power and spiritual gifts. (Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Romans 12:6-8) ) The purpose of spiritual gifts is to enable the church to fulfill its mission of exalting Christ, empowering believers, and evangelizing the world (1 Corinthians 12:12).  We believe believers can be baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking/praying in a beautiful spiritual, heavenly language. (Acts 2:1-4; Mark 16:17; 1 Corinthians 14:2, 14-15, 39; Jude 20)  This is not necessary for eternal salvation but rather, beneficial for this life by enhancing the believer’s prayer life, walk with God, and communication with God.
We believe that God hears and answers prayer today, performs miracles and does heal.  We believe that the gifts of healing and the gift of miracles are active today and did not "pass away" with the Apostles (1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Hebrews 13:8).

We believe that believers are to uniquely demonstrate their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ through water baptism and communion. Water baptism is the outward demonstration of a believer's inward faith that Christ died for his/her sins, was buried, and that He has risen from the dead. We practice baptism by immersion. Communion is a physical reminder that Christ died for our sins and a memorial to Him until He comes again. As important as these are, they are not to be regarded as essential for salvation (Mathew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34).

We believe that every local church is free to govern its own affairs under Christ and should seek to support the unity of all Christ-honoring churches and ministries ( Colossians 1:28; Ephesians 4:3-6).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will physically return to rescue His Church before the Great Tribulation, after which He will establish His physical reign on the earth for 1,000 years (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:4-7).
We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is to be the salt of the earth and light of the world. The church is responsible to address the specific issues of each generation based upon the authority and conviction of God's Word; it is a grave failure for the Church to be silent on the moral issues of the day (Matthew 5:13-16; James 4:17).
We believe in, and teach, the uncompromised Word of God. Our goal is to share practical, life changing principles form the Bible in a way that is easy to understand and apply to one's own life. Our burning desire is to see people set free, and grow and mature in Christ. We desire that the Word we minister would bring powerful insight into the victorious, overcoming Christian life. Many have testified of changed lives, spiritual growth, and physical and emotional healings as a result of the teaching gift and confirming ministry of the precious Holy Spirit.
